The style

What is candid photography?

Candid means your wedding is photographed as it really happens. The tear as the sacred necklace is tied. Your father’s hands. Your friends laughing just before you walk out. Nobody stops a ritual for a photo, and nobody is asked to say cheese.

The usual way

Traditional photography

Posed groups, with everyone looking at the camera. Rituals are often paused for the shot. Every relative is covered, but many albums end up looking alike.

The candid way

Candid photography

Real moments, caught as they happen, often from a distance with long lenses. Emotion, light and story come first, and nobody has to pose.

Our way

Candid, with the family photos done right

Candid all day, plus a short, organised session for family groups, so every grandparent and every branch of the family is in the album. Couple portraits are gently guided, never stiff.

How we work on the day

  1. Before the weddingWe go through your rituals, the auspicious time and the family members who matter most, ideally with your priest’s schedule.
  2. During the ritualsWe stay quiet and out of the priest’s way, use long lenses, and are in place before each key moment.
  3. Family photosA short session from a list you approve, so every group your families expect is covered quickly.
  4. Couple portraitsA relaxed session in good light. You walk, talk and laugh, and we shape the frame.

Candid and cinematic

Candid describes how we take photographs. Cinematic describes our films: your day edited like a movie, with music and your own voices. Most families book both.

Will we still get the traditional family photos?

Yes. We plan a short family session from a list you approve, so the album has every group your families expect, from grandparents to every branch of the family.

Do we have to pose?

No. For most of the day you will hardly notice us. For couple portraits we give gentle direction on where to stand and walk, then let the moment happen.

Will you get in the way of the rituals?

No. We know the order of the ceremony, keep a respectful distance from the priest and the sacred fire, and use long lenses instead of stepping in.

Our approach

Depth, detail, direction

We don’t just capture moments. We document traditions, emotions and the timelines that matter most in a family’s life, and we deliver them with care, down to details nobody else may notice.

Depth

Unscripted emotional truth: the tear as the sacred necklace is tied, the quiet breath before the walk, the roar of the reception floor.

Detail

Cinema-grade colour and sound: calibrated colour, multi-track audio and dual-card backup on every camera.

Direction

Gentle, magazine-inspired guidance that helps non-models feel confident and natural in front of the lens.
